Andrew’s counselling tips:

• Proctosedyl contains the active ingredients hydrocortisone (steroid) and cinchocaine (local anaesthetic)
• These two ingredients work together to reduce swelling, numb pain and relieve itching
• Wash and dry the affected area before use, also before using the product go to the toilet if you need to
• There is a nozzle supplied with the product which can be inserted into the rectum to treat internal haemorrhoids, otherwise apply the ointment to the affected areas twice daily
• Wash hands before and after use
• If the condition doesn’t show any signs of improvement within 7 days, we suggest you go and see a doctor
• NOT to be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding, use Anusol instead
