  • Crystaderm First Aid Cream 25g

    Esther’s counselling tips:

    • Crystaderm contains hydrogen peroxide which acts as an antibacterial and antiseptic
    • It’s important to clean out anything in the wound with water before applying Crystaderm
    • Unlike Betadine, Crystaderm will not stain clothes – however we still encourage customers to cover the wound with a Nexcare bandage to prevent further infection
    • I always let my customers know that if there is redness around the injury site, draw a border around the redness with a pen and if the redness advances outside of the border whilst applying Crystaderm then I suggest you go see a doctor

  • Buccaline 7 Tablets

    Esther’s Counselling Tips:

    • Buccaline is pharmacies secret weapon against the secondary infections due to colds
    • It’s a great product for people who find that when they get sick, they get so sick they need to go to the doctor for antibiotics
    • Buccaline doesn’t stop you getting sick but instead provides your immune system with a low level of bacteria which creates an immune response in the body and therefore if/when you do get sick it helps the body to fight it off
    • Buccaline cannot be taken if you are currently sick or if you have had the flu vaccination in the last week
    • Buccaline provides you with 3 months antibacterial cover and therefore the course should be repeated twice during the winter season
    • It can be used in addition to, but not as an alternative to the flu vaccine (we recommend to have your flu vaccination and then a week later take a course of Buccaline)
    • NOT to be taken in pregnancy – unless recommended by a doctor

    • Betadine ointment is one of my favourite products to disinfect a wound as it has antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties – it basically nukes any sort of infection
    • It is an essential product I take with me while travelling – any cuts, grazes, bites this is the product I apply during the first few days
    • It’s important to clean anything out of the wound with water before applying Betadine
    • Betadine is a brown/orange colour which can stain some materials so it’s important to cover with a bandage such as Nexcare to make sure it doesn’t rub onto your clothes

  • Bepanthen Antiseptic Soothing Cream 100g

    • Bepanthen is a mild antiseptic cream that is suitable for use from all ages including infants and babies (Betadine & Crystaderm cannot be used on babies)
    • It can also be used for a mothers cracked or damaged nipples during lactation
    • In my professional opinion Bepanthen is still a fantastic antiseptic who’s main point of difference is that it can be used by the whole family and those people who have sensitive skin

    • This is my go-to product whenever I have a sore throat, especially when you have that sensation of razor blades at the back of your throat when you swallow
    • I find that the solution works fast and can clear up the painful symptoms within 24 hours
    • The product is ready-to-use, there’s no need to dilute and it comes with a convenient measuring cup
    • Gargle for at least 30 seconds and spit out, DO NOT SWALLOW
