  • Canesten Fungal Nail Treatment Set

    • This is one of the nail treatment products I like to recommend in store for the treatment of fungal nail infections
    • A nail is very hard opposed to the skin so it’s difficult for a drug to penetrate into it, that’s why Canesten nail treatment has urea ointment which you apply to the nail to soften it before applying the antifungal
    • You then roughen up the nail with the plastic scraper and apply the bifonazole antifungal cream, before covering it with one of the plasters supplied
    • This is scientifically proven to work more effectively than just painting cream or lacquer onto a nail
    • Only for use on 1 to 2 nails, if anymore is affected we recommend seeing a doctor
    • NOT to be used in pregnancy or breastfeeding, unless recommended by a doctor

    • A nail is very hard opposed to the skin so it’s difficult for a drug to penetrate into it, that’s why it’s important to roughen the nail surface up with a file before you paint on the lacquer
    • The lacquer may be cheaper than a product such as Canesten Fungal Nail Treatment but that is because you have to apply the product more often and for a longer period of time
    • You basically paint on the lacquer and wait for the new unaffected nail to grow out from the cuticle (this can take a few months)
